ARCHERY BULL MOOSE HUNT at OKIMOT LODGE
Bear Hunting
OKIMOT LODGE is offering a quality, semi-guided bear hunt package from August 29th to October 31st, 2009.
Located 250 miles north of Toronto or 260 miles east of Sault Ste. Marie, our bear management unit (20 bear stands on 40 square miles in Wildlife Management Unit 41) surrounds Tomiko Lake which also provides good walleye, pike and bass fishing.
We allow a limited number of both rifle and
bow hunters each week (up to six, but you are also welcome to come alone) giving
every hunter a good chance at a black bear. Using meat scraps and sweets,
baiting starts in July. If you have access to an ATV (All
Terrain Vehicle) or four-wheeler, it would be of great advantage to bring one
along (don’t forget a gun case to transport your rifle and a helmet). The cost
to rent a four-wheeler is Can$ 500.00 plus tax or about US$500.00/week. Bow
hunters can bring their own portable stands, but OKIMOT LODGE provides both
rifle and bow stands. Distances from your tree stand to the bait are 10 to 25
yards for archery, 30 to 50 yards for rifle.
We offer three options to choose from:
